High season and off-season


Mid-December to mid-April is considered the high season in St. Martin. Hotels and resorts usually have higher rates during this season and may even double their rates on peak dates such as Christmas or Valentine's Day. The off-season runs from mid-April to October and this is when villas and hotels create promos and discounts, sometimes going even as far as giving a 50% discount on room rates. There are fewer tourists and visitors during the off-season and beaches aren't as crowded.

Weather in St. Martin


St. Martin has fairly nice, tropical and sunny weather year-round. During high season, the temperature rarely exceeds 90°F (32°C), with lower humidity and the cooling trade winds blowing in from the northeast. Light rain showers sometimes occur but are very brief, locals refer to them as "liquid sunshine". The island's rainy season runs from May to November and corresponds to the official Atlantic hurricane season, June 1 to November 30.
